Cut and Common Leaved Teasels
Cut leaved teasel has white flowers with short, pointy sepals. The common leaved teasel has purple flowers with long, upward pointing, sharp sepals. Teasels are known for having the capability to overcrowd and eradicate all surrounding native species. These plants can grow to be anywhere between 2 and 8 feet tall, and are easily identified by their prickly stems and leaves. They are perennials, blooming June through October, dying after it sets seeds.
