Community Compost Program - Food Scrap Drop off Now Available.
Get to Know the Village of Egg Harbor Compost Site!
The Village of Egg Harbor is proud to invite residents to participate in our expanding compost program! Located at 4579 Ball Park Road next to the recycling site, our compost area is now open for residents to drop off food scraps only.
Drop-off can be done during Recycling Hours - Saturday mornings (year-round) from 9:00 am to Noon and Wednesday mornings (May 1 - October 31) from 7:00 am to 10:00 am.
Since 2019, we’ve been turning food scraps from local restaurants and residents into rich compost that nourishes village gardens. Whether you're a first-time composter or a long-time participant, this is your chance to be part of a simple, impactful solution that builds healthy soil and reduces waste!
Residents receive a free, food scrap collection bucket! With a screw top lid and made of food grade plastic, buckets keep smells in and critters out!
How to Start Composting (If You Don’t Have a Bucket Yet):
