No Mow May 2025 - Join us!

Join the No Mow May Movement! We’re aiming to beat our past goal of 30 participants, and we need YOU to help us make it happen! Come to the Kress Pavilion to paint a No Mow May sign or refresh your old one. It’s an easy way to support pollinator-friendly spaces in our community!

Let’s Make It Bigger & Better! This year, we’re promoting the creation of pollinator habitats and encouraging everyone to skip mowing during the first half of May. Visit us at the Every Day is Earth Day Festival on April 19 at Kress Pavilion for a native plant sale and expert guidance on rewilding your lawn. Together, we can create thriving spaces for pollinators!

The initiative, kicked off by Lawrence in 2019 has been scientifically proven to grow diversity and foster a climate for pollinators.

Participants agree to register their lawn here, commit to leaving at least 75% of their lawn uncut until the fourth week of May*, and proudly post a No Mow May Sign in their front yard.

After signing up, you are welcome to visit the Kress Pavilion Maker Space and decorate your sign starting April 1 and be sure to attend, Every Day is Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 19 to learn from our re-wilding experts!
